Abstract

398,439. Storing gases under pressure. BROADHEAD, R. W., ALLOTT, G. W., and NEWTON, CHAMBERS, & CO., Ltd., Thorncliffe Ironworks & Collieries, near Sheffield. March 29, 1933, No. 9488. [Class 8 (ii).] A high-pressure constantvolume gas-holder comprises a vertical cylinder 1 formed of rings 2 of plates 3 and provided with hemispherical ends 5 also formed of plates. The holder is supported by columns 6 secured to the lower rings of plates 3 and secured to foundations 7. A ladder 8 is fitted for inspection purposes.
