Abstract
398,430. Heel protectors. CAYLESS, J. A., 17, Princes Street, and TRENERY, E. A., 28, Langham Place, both in Northampton. March 18, 1933, No. 8239. [Class 17 (iii).] A heel pad or top lift of leather, rubber, or other material has attached to one face or embedded therein a metal plate 1 having on one face a plurality of anchoring tongues 2 engaging the heel pad and pointed projections 6 on its other face adapted to engage the heel, when the lift is secured by a screw passing through a hole A, and prevent turning of the pad. The tongues 2 may be shaped so as to spread when hammered into the pad or lift. The securing screw 12 may pass through a bush 13, Fig. 8, which has prongs on its inner end which are spread apart by the entering screw.
