[Class 20 (ii).] A unit metallic frame structure comprises a central member 1 and a plurality of strut members 3 projecting therefrom in a plurality of planes and interconnected at their free ends by bracing rods or wires 4 with provision for adjusting the tension. The struts may be of thin walled tubing and they may be adjustably fixed to the central member. Diagonal braces 5 may also be used, anchored at their inner ends to a ring 6. Screw provision 11, 12, 13, Fig. 4, may be provided for connecting units together when constructing built-up structures. Fig. 6 shows the unit supporting a chair 16 and back rest 17.
