395,589. Sifting-apparatus. HISCOX, W. A., Newlands, Constable Drive, Littleover, near Derby. Dec. 15, 1932, No. 35516. [Class 117.] In rotary screens of the type comprising plates 11 arranged so as to form a substantially cylindrical screening surface with relatively small apertures 14 and inwardly directed plates with relatively large apertures 15 to act as a preliminary screen for eliminating the largest size materials, the plates are formed with holes 19 to pass the material from one section of the outer surface to the next. The holes are formed by stamping up a tongue of the metal of the plates in the direction of rotation of the screen.
