Abstract

395,518. Moulding-machines. PEYINGHAUS, W., (trading as EISENUND STAHLWERK W. PEYINGHAUS), Egge, near Volmarstein, Ruhr, Germany. July 22, 1932, No. 20709. Convention date, July 24, 1931. [Class 83 (i).] Cores are made in a two-part box arranged to be moved vertically, rotated on a horizontal axis, and opened horizontally. The halves 1, 2 are clamped together by wedges &c. 3, 4 during packing, the stoutest projecting part of the core being upwards. The box is then raised from the surface 5 of the table 16 by a handle 6, rack and pinion 9, and arms 11 which, when the box is closed, engage rods 13 attached by trunnions 43 to the box and arranged to slide in the table 16. The box is then inverted, lowered, unclamped, and separated by means of right and left-hand screws 20, 21, operated by a hand-wheel 27, which engage the parts of the table 16 on which they rest. The detached core rests on a circular part 37 of the table which can be rotated on and be raised by a shait 30, rack and segment 32, and treadle 34. The part 37 is smaller than the base of the core so that this can be lifted off by a fork 40, Fig. 3, or two such forks, connected by projections and recesses 41. The lifting means 30, 32 is provided with a locking device, not shown. If desired the necessary movements may be effected by hydraulic, pneumatic or electric means.
