395,046. Windings for dynamo-electric machines. CESKOMORAVSKA-KOLBENDANEK AKCIOVA SPOLECNOST, Prague, and KAUDERS, V., 19, Petrskß, Prague. Jan. 25, 1932, No. 2280. Convention date, Jan. 28, 1931. [Class 35.] Each phase of the winding of an alternating- current machine is divided into two unequal sets of series-connected coil groups, one for each polarity, the difference in the number of groups in the two sets being one or more if the number of coil groups per phase is even and greater than one if the number of coil groups per phase is odd. In the form shown, in which only every fifth slot is numbered, there are thirtysix groups of coils, one coil per group, in thirty-six slots for a four-pole three-phase machine, all coils having the same slot pitch, and each phase winding consists of a set of series-connected coils in slots 12, 21, 30, 3, &c. (for the phase shown in heavy lines) comprising two turns around the core in a clockwise direction and a set of series-connected coils in slots 10, 1, 28, 19, &c. comprising four turns around the core in counterclockwise direction, the slot pitch being 1-10 &c. The number of layers in the winding may be one or more, and formulµ are given for calculating the winding factors.
