Convention date, March 10, 1932. [Class 8(ii).] The filter of a vacuum cleaner comprises two fabric sheets 17 sewn together, the seam being circular but incomplete, leaving an opening 18 for insertion of a frame 19 comprising a flexible steel band. The opening is diagonal to the direction of weave of the cloth. Each sheet has a flap 21 to ensure packing between the filter and its housing. Disinfecting or perfuming media may be introduced between the sheets.
