Abstract

394,604. Hand-rests for chairs. FOX, R. F. and FOX, T. M., (trading as FOX & CO., C. & T.), 7, Eldon Street, London. Jan. 16, 1933, No. 1468. [Class 52 (ii).] A chair for invalids is provided on the arms with hand-rails 3 and progressively higher hand-rests 6, 5 to assist the invalid to rise out of the chair. An upholstered hinged arm rest 7 covers the handrail 3 when the chair is in normal use ; in a modification the hand rails themselves comprise the arm rests. A movable pad 8 may be fitted on the forward face of the back of the chair.
