394,053. Hook fastenings. HARLEY, C. E., 121, Marlborough Road, Bowes Park, and RIPAULTS, Ltd., 1, King's Road, St. Pancras, both in London. Feb. 4, 1932, No. 3349. [Class 44.] A motor-car bonnet fastening consists of a hook 5 which when depressed against a spring 9 is automatically turned into engagement with a keeper 12 bv the torsion of the spring. The hook, when in the position shown in Fig. 1, is held from rotation by a square part 4a engaging with an aperture in the casing 6. To allow the hook to turn when depressed, one pair of diametrically opposite edges of the hook stem 4 are radiused at 4b. The knob 7 may be freely rotatable on the stem 4. Specification 388,155 is referred to.
