Abstract

393,210. Dental forceps. KOHLER, L., 55, Drosselweg, Niehl, Cologne, Germany. Dec. 15, 1932, No. 35585. [Class 81 (ii).] Dental forceps for extracting wisdom teeth from the lower jaw are formed with a portion A-B, in the neighbourhood of the joint, curved in conformity with the outline of the crowns of the teeth, with a short straight portion B-C, and with the handle portion C-D downwardly bent. Each jaw comprises a downwardly bent beak c and a supporting surface or fulcrum d to which a facing of wood or the like may be held by a rubber band. The beaks c may be formed, as shown, so as to serve for elevating the tooth, or may be shaped to serve for the subsequent extraction thereof.
