Abstract

391,236. Ink-wells. MOYE, S. C., 14, Great Bland Street, and SIMMS MOTOR UNITS, Ltd., Percy Buildings, Gresse Street, Rathbone Place, London. June 28, 1932, No. 31006/31. [Class 146 (iii).] In an ink-well of the safety type, which comprises an inverted open frustrated cone 3 depending from the top 2 into the space around which the ink collects when the ink-well is tipped over, and in which the top portion is screwed on to the body portion 1, means is provided on the bottom which does not project beyond the general plane of the latter, for obtaining a firm hold with the fingers or a suitable tool. The bottom may either be provided with a circular depression 8 across which extends a bridge 9 to afford a finger or tool grip, or a curved slot for the insertion of a coin. The outer cylindrical portion 10 of the tap 2 may be milled or knurled, and the periphery of the top is bevelled at 6. The top surface of the top 2 is provided with diametrically opposite grooves 7 for supporting a pen.
