Abstract
391,143. Automatic guns. CESKOSLOVENSKA ZBROJOVKA AKCIOVA SPOLECNOST v. BRNE and STALLER, K., 7, U Lazaretu, Br³nn, Czecho-Slovakia. Oct. 16, 1931, No. 28856. [Class 92 (ii).] Firing mechanism adjustable for singleshots, continuousfire, and safety, and of the kind having a trigger-bar 17 that co-operates with stop faces on a rotary switch member 20 which (1) permits a movement of the trigger-bar in the direction p, and a rocking movement in the direction q when adjusted for firing single shots, (2) permits a movement in the direction p only when adjusted for firing continuously, and (3) precludes movements in either of these directions when adjusted for safety. According to the invention, in order to house the firing mechanism in a shallow casing beneath the firearm, the trigger-bar has a raised dished portion 35 the front of which co-operates with the switch member, a lower portion 17<11> which extends forwardly to engage the sear 4, and an intermediate portion which passes through an opening 18 in the casing of the firing mechanism. Fig. 4 shows the switch member the stop faces on which are formed on a part of rectangular section. With the lever 21 of the switch member in the single-shot position A, on pressing the firing button 16, the trigger-bar can move forward into a recess 26 and a projection 30 on the bar can move in a recess 25 to permit the trigger-bar to rock in the direction q to disengage from a projection 46 on the sear. Both movements of the trigger-bar are effected against the action of a single inclined spring 40 the guide rod 37 of which detachably engages a notch 39 in the casing. In the continuous-fire position C of the lever 21, the projection 30 on the trigger-bar engages a stop face 28 on the switch-member when the bar moves forward and the sear is therefore released and held as shown in Fig. 2. In the safety-position B of the lever 21, the surface 28 on the switch-member prevents forward movement of the trigger-bar.
