Abstract
390,692. Cabinets. LAWRENCE & CO., Ltd., W., Colwick, near Nottingham, and MASSEY, L., Oak Lodge, Burton Joyce, Nottinghamshire. July 20, 1932, No. 20528. [Class 52 (i).] Relates to the construction of wardrobes, cupboards, &c. and consists in forming the vertical joints between the front wall sections in such a manner as to permit displacement of the edges of the section, due to expansion or contraction, to take place. The wall sections 2, 4, Fig. 1, are attached at the top and bottom in the manner shown and the joint between them is effected by forming in the vertical edge of the part 4, Fig. 2, a right-angled recess 5 which accommodates the vertical edge of the part 2, the two parts being retained in close co-operation by turn-buttons 6. The overlapping edge 7 effectively covers the joint. In a modification the sections 2, 4 may be connected by means of an additional section having a joint as above at each of its edges.
