Abstract

Oct. 3, 1931, No. 27545. Addition to 289,301, [Class 64 (i), Heating liquids &c.]. [Class 64 (i).] In a feed heater of the kind in which the water flows through a casing 1 over steamheating tubes 15, and comprising a return conduit for the cooler water, as described in the parent Specification, the water inlet 11 is arranged directly in the return conduit 2 to induce a circulation along the lower part of the heater. The water enters the conduit through a nozzle. A partition 12 arranged between the limbs of the U-shaped steam tubes and extending nearly to one end of the casing is secured at the other end to the tube plate 4, and is slightly curved upwardly opposite the inlet from the return conduit.
