Abstract

389,989. Trimmings. DERBY WEAVING CO., Ltd., Phoenix Mills, Stuart Street, and SIDDONS, H. R., Brennan, Duffield Road, both in Derby. March 23, 1932, No. 8692. [Class 141.] A trimming for upholstery comprises a strip of fabric involving a tubular portion enclosing a core and a tube portion a,s shown in diagrammatic section in the Figure, the whole being bound together by the weft. The tubular part has a number of stuffer cords 18, in addition to the usual warps 17, 16, 15, &c., the tape portion also having warps 3, 4, 5, &c. The weft passes alternatelv over and under the warps 3, 4, 5, &c., 8, 9, 10, &c., until the warp 17 is reached, then passes alternately over and under the warps of the tubular part as indicated, and finally over and under the warps 7, 6, 5, &c.
