Abstract

389,933. Electric hand-irons. REVO ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., REEVES, F. H., Groveland Road, Tividale, Tipton, Staffordshire, and MILLER, F., Tarino, Stratford Road, Hockley Heath, Warwickshire. Dec. 28, 1931. No. 35787. [Class 138 (ii).] In an electric hand-iron provided with a heat indicator the heat indicator 2 comprises a coiled bimetallic strip 18 secured at one end to a spindle 16 and at the other end to a ring 12 which is attached to a plate 7 provided with ears 8. The spindle 16 passes through the plate 7 and a dial 15 secured thereto and is provided with a pointer 17. The plate 7 forms the base of a ring 5 provided with ears 6 and supports a transparent panel 10. The indicator 2 is mounted between the ends of the handle 3 of the iron, the bolts 21 securing the handle and cover to the iron passing through the ears 6, 8. The dial 15 is marked as shown in Fig. 2.
