[Class 94 (i).] A metal seal of the type comprising a multiplebore tube-like structure for connecting together the ends of a wire box strap, or any two wires is provided with oppositely-disposed longitudinal internal projections or indentations which substantially divide the tube into two parts, each intended for the reception of a single wire, the space between the projections being insufficient to allow the passage of the wire from one part of the bore to the other. The seal may be formed so that the two wires are kept apart by a separating wall. As shown in Fig. 7, the seal is formed by folding a sheet metal strip e around a former f, which may comprise two wires laid side by side. The folded strip, with or without the former, is placed on an anvil g, having a central rib g<2>, and a die g3 is pressed on to the strip. Fig. 1 shows the finished seal, which is attached to one end of a wire strap by passing the end of the strap through one of the channels c and then corrugating the channel and wire and/or bending the protruding end of the wire into a hook. Fig. 13 shows another method of forming the seal, the two channels being completely divided. The longitudinal indentations are formed as before, but in this case may be formed at the ends only. In attaching the seal to one end of a wire, the channel holding that end, as well as the other channel which is corrugated in the sealing process, may be corrugated at the two ends only, so as to leave a central blank space for a trade mark, as shown in Fig. 19.
