[A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 7, 1931.] [Class 65 (i).] Means for holding, in angularly adjusted position, the hinged member a of a seat or bedstead, comprise a pivoted strut i, having a pin k engaging a straight guide slot f, and carrying a pawl l to engage teeth 9 of a fixed rack. The slot is made longer than the rack, so that the pawl may hang down freely at both ends of the rack and thereby have its position reversed at the end of its movement in either direction.
