Abstract
386,465. Centrifugal machines. MœLLER, F., 118, Uhlandstrasse, Wilmersdorf, and KALDUNEE, O., 26, Martin Lutherstrasse, Schoneberg, both in Berlin. Feb. 29, 1932, No. 6031. [Class 23.] Material to be treated in a centrifuge 11 is fed thereto from a container 70 by a pump 60 past a valve 44 and through a conduit 27 in the stationary shaft 15 on which the centrifuge 11 rotates, entering the drum 11 through an aperture 28. Light material is discharged from the centrifuge through a conduit 26 in the shaft 15 past a valve 43, and the valves 43, 44 are coupled together, by a rod 45 operated by an eccentric 46, so that variations in the pressure under which the material is introduced into the centrifuge are produced to impart a shaking action to it. Heavier material is discharged through apertures 23, between casings 12, 13 of the drum of the centrifuge 11, to a shoot 25. The drum 11 is enclosed in a casing 10.
