[Class 35.] Mounting rotors.-In an electric motor driving a spinning spindle wherein a ball- and-socket joint is used between the motor and spindle shafts, the centre of the ball and socket coincides with the centre of the upper motor shaft bearing b. The spindle shaft at its upper end has a bearing c which is preferably resilient. The shafts may be coupled by a spiral spring or the like embracing both shafts.
