[Class 81 (ii).] An illuminating device for the buccal cavity comprises a source of light mounted on a yoke of angular form provided at the other end with a holding device which draws the source of light by spring clamping action against the inner side of the cheek. A yoke 3 made in one piece with a trough-shaped reflector 1, for example from a nonconductor such as porcelain, carries a low voltage lamp 2 fed by leads 9, and a structure comprising wire yokes 7, bent to circular form, which are pressed on to the cheek by springs 6 causing the reflector 1 to be embedded therein. The reflector may be covered by a translucent plate or a protective grid 10. Instead of the wire yokes 7, a ring or concave plate may be used.
