[Class 139.] Watch cases; combined with belts or bags.-A wrist watch consists of a watch case 1 adapted to slide and pivot between the arms of a U-shaped support 2 so that the case may be moved through 180‹ from a position in which the dial is uppermost, Figs. 4 and 5, to a position in which the dial 10 is facing downwards, Figs. 1 and 3, and protected. Figs. 3, 4, and 5 are views at right-angles to Fig. 1 ; the wrist strap 3 is attached to the support 2. The case 1 has pivot pins 5, two side rims 11, and two pins 15 pressed outwards by springs. The inner faces of the arms of the member 2 have guide grooves 4, 12 for members 5, 15, 11. The pins 15 snap in and out of grooves 4 but pins 5 remain in the grooves. With the watch in the position of Fig. 5 it is slid in the direction of arrow 7 to the Fig. 4 position. With pins 5 at the ends of grooves 4 the watch may be swung 180‹ in the direction of arrow 9 through the dotted line position to the position of Fig. 3 in which the dial 10 is underneath and protected, pins 15 snapping into grooves 4. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 contains also the following subject-matter. The support 13 for the watch case may have strengthening ribs 14, Fig 13 (Cancelled). Between the watch case 1 and movement ring 5, Fig. 4 (Cancelled), are housed two spring blades 7 which have pins 8 which project through holes in the casing walls and into grooves 16, Fig. 13 (Cancelled), of the support 13. The other ends of springs 7 press balls 10 through holes in the casing walls so that the balls snap into grooves 16 in the two extreme positions of the casing 1 on the support 13. The pins 8 form the pivot pins which remain in grooves 16 when the watch casing is swung 180‹. The end of the side rims 2, Fig. 2 (Cancelled), which move in the grooves 18, are accommodated by the curved parts 20, Fig. 13 (Cancelled), as the watch is swung. The balls 10 may be replaced by studs 11, Fig. 9 (Cancelled), which project through the casing 1 and have heads 12 in contact with the blades 7. The pivot pins 8, Fig. 8 (Cancelled), may be formed on right-angled parts 9 combined with the springs 7. The support 13 may be suitably attached to a belt or to a bag. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
