381,901. Dust filters. WITTEMEIER, H., 11, Bismarck Allee, Grunewald, Berlin. -(Assignee of Richter, B. ; 26, Augustastrasse, Wilmersdorf, Berlin.) June 1, 1932, No. 15565. Convention date, Jan. 29. [Class 8 (ii).] A filter for air and gases comprises filter eiements 4 supported from travelling chains 1 through external brackets 10 on which they are pivoted, so that the elements travel substantially in contact along their straight courses without colliding at the turns ; overlaps 35 make the joints between them airtight. The elements comprise frames holding sheets of perforated metal, wire fabric, &c. In an earlier form of apparatus described, the elements are pivoted directly on the frames and the gaps between them rendered necessary to avoid blocking at the turns are bridged by resilient tongues &c.
