Abstract
381,069. Spectacles. KAPERNICK, G. F., 47, Kaiserstrasse, Frankforton- Main, Germany. Feb. 19, 1932, No. 5011. Convention date, Aug. 17, 1931. [Class 97 (i).] In a spectacle bridge the ends of the bridge are reduced in thickness from about the point where it no longer rests on the nose, the reduced portions being coiled or folded back on themselves to provide a flexible connection with the eye rims or the like. As shown in Fig. 1, the ends of the centrally flattened metal bridge 1 are tapered into thin wire coils 4. The ends may be soldered to the eye-rims 3, or the wire may after soldering to the eye rims be extended to carry placquets, 7 as shown in Fig. 6. Modifications in which the wire is folded are shown in Figs. 4 and 5.
