Abstract

380,943. Insulators. STEATITE & PORCELAIN PRODUCTS, Ltd. and HALTON, G. H., Mount Villa, both in Stourport, Worcestershire. Sept. 24, 1931, No. 26657. [Class 36.] An insulator of the high voltage type which is formed with rain sheds 3 consists of a hollow member 1 having a bridge 6 integral with the member 1. Metal cups 4, 5 support the insulator ends, and the bridge 6 is disposed across the insulator at a point more remote from the insulator ends than the lips of the metal cups. The junctions of the bridge with the insulator walls are rounded to form a continuous smooth surface.
