Abstract

Spray nozzles having perforated projections are formed by dipping a former having stainless steel projections or pegs on its face in a solution or emulsion of rubber or the like coagulating and vulcanizing, and then trimming the projections after removal from the former. The rubber may also be applied by spraying, moulding or electrophoresis, including the moulding directly of milled rubber. An emulsion for this purpose comprises rubber (as latex) 87,7 parts, sulphur 1,5 parts, mineral oil 5,0 parts, tetramethyl-thiuram disulphide 0,3 part, zinc oxide 4,0 parts, and lampblack 2,0 parts all by weight. Specifications 219,635, 290,313, [both in Class 70, Indiarubber &c.], and 358,011 are referred to.
