Abstract
378,282. Valve components. PHILLIPS PETROLEUM CO., Bartlesville, Oklahoma, U.S.A. Nov. 20, 1931, No. 32208. Convention date, April 20. [Class 135.] Casings.-A valve incorporated in a flow head for an oil well comprises a removable flow restricting member 20 and a threaded valve stem 22 to which a valve head 21 is threaded and locked by a set-screw 22c, the head 21 having conical portions 31, 32, 33 of different taper giving a streamline effect. A flared member 14 connected to the fitting 7 is secured to the flow pipe 16 by a coupling 17, the nipple 18 extending past such coupling. The flow restricting member 20 fits a conical seat in the nipple 18 and in a modified form, Fig. 4, extends through the nipple.
