376,118. Polishing vehicle bodies, floors, &c. CASTELLS, M., 7, Rue de Tanger, Paris. Oct. 14, 1931, No. 28481. [Classes 19, 60, and 138 (i).] Apparatus for polishing the paintwork of vehicle bodies, furniture, floors, &c. consists of a casing 1 having end-plates 1a supporting in ball bearings two parallel shafts 2 each carrying discs of flexible material P held by nuts 14 and washers 13. The shafts are driven in opposite directions through gearing 7, 8, 9 by an electric motor M or by a flexible shaft, and the apparatus may be supported by handles thereon or on a carriage. The discs P may comprise circular pieces of textile fabric, for example, flannel.
