Abstract

375,849. Photographic printing. MATE, W., 86, Eltham Road, Lee, and CANNELL, J., 34, Drysdale Avenue, Ching- ford, both in London. March 30, 1931, No. 9628. [Class 98 (ii).] A sensitizing composition specially applicable for fabrics, wood surfaces, tiles and the like comprises, substantially in the following proportions, silver nitrate (300 grs.) ferric ammonium citrate (green scales) (375 grms.), citric acid (300 grs.) and water (1 pint). The solution is applied in drops and the surface dried. The printed image is washed and fixed in hypo, various tones being possible by this treatment and in the case of fabrics by ironing. Faint images can be developed up by steam, the tone depending on the character of the negative and on the exposure. Images on fabrics (e.g. handkerchiefs) can be washed and ironed.
