B. ; 3983, Bliss street, Long Island City, New York, U.S.A.) Jan. 28, 1932, No. 2611. Convention date, Jan. 28, 1931. [Class 13.] For adjusting the acoustic properties of a room or studio panels are used covered on one side by sound absorbent material, e.g. hair felt, or materials known under the Trade Marks of " Acousti-celotex " and " Acoustone," and on the other side by sound reflecting material, e.g. hard plaster or sheet iron or steel. The panels 1 may be hinged to recesses 10 in the walls, floors or ceilings, so that when closed a continuous sound-absorbing surface is formed while when opened wide a continuous sound reflecting surface is formed. Partitions formed of hinged panels 1 may be placed about studios or rooms, so adjusted with respect to the microphone A as to give the desired result.
