Abstract

374,187. Window blinds. POLLARD & CO., Ltd., E. and POLLARD, H. E., St. John Street, London. March 28, 1931, No. 9490. [Class 52 (v).] The front lath A of an awning is carried by side arms each consisting of two sections B, C, hinged together at C<1>, the outer part B being automatically folded back upon the inner part C when the latter is swung inwardly. The pivoted end of the outer part B is provided with a toothed disc b which engage a rack F slidably mounted in the outer end of the part C and pivotally connected at g<2> to a pivoted radius rod G, which is swung by a toothed quadrant g2 and shaft I, the pivotal points g<1> of the rod G and d<1> of the part C being so positioned that the rack F is moved to swing the part B when the radius rod is moved.
