Abstract

373,527. Crushers with vibrating jaws. MASON, J. H., 93, Loughborough Road, Leicester. Oct. 16, 1931, No. 28777. [Class 59.] In a jaw or crusher member having a renewable crushing surface attached to a carrier frame, the renewable surface is provided with tongues &c. which are bent into contact with lugs &c. on the carrier frame to secure the two parts together. The crushing surface 1, Fig. 1, of manganese steel &c. is provided with pins or tongues 2 of mild steel &c. and is mounted in steel frame 3, Fig. 2, provided with lugs 4. The tongues 2 may project from bosses 2a and form positioning means for the crushing surface in the frame ; additional positioning means such as recesses 6 in the plate 1 and projections 5 on the frame 4 may be used. The tongues 2 are hammered over the lugs 4 to secure the plate to the frame as shown in Fig. 7, and studs may secure the frame to the stock. The upper and lower portions of the plate and frame may be slotted to receive the wedge bolt which secures them to the jawstock or frame of the crusher. The frame for the fixed jaw is recessed at the corners at 14 to receive positioning lugs on the crusher frame.
