373,347. Tyre valves. AHLERS, A., 69, Gneisenaustrasse, D³sseldorf, Germany. April 11, 1931. No. 10740. Convention date, Jan. 22. [Class 135.] In an inflating valve for pneumatic tvres of the kind in which a stem connected to the valve cone projects through the end of the valve casing, a packing member within the dust cap normally holds the cone from its seat by pressing on the stem and also seals the orifice of the casing. A conical valve member c is held to its seat, formed by a constriction in the upper end of the casing a, by air pressure and by a spring f, the latter and the cone c being maintained in the casing a by a bushing g secured in position by upsetting the metal surrounding the lower end of the casing. The stem b of the valve c projects through the upper end of the casing a. A packing member e has a neck which passes through an aperture in the end face of the dust cap d, a screw nut e<1> securing it to the latter.
