Sept. 8, 1931, No. 25149. [Class 54.] The slide valves of a gas meter are reciprocated over grids formed with outer ports leading to two measuring chambers and a middle port leading to an exhaust passage by the direct engagement in slots or recesses in the upper surfaces of the valve bodies of eccentrically arranged pins depending from toothed wheels p meshing with a toothed wheel l on a spindle k which is rotated through flagwire and tangent arm mechanism m, n, o by the diaphragms of the measuring chambers. The valves may be formed with tubular edges or grooved lugs j2 for engagement with fixed guide rods r.
