[Class 54] The valve gratings 1, 2 of a dry gas meter are formed as a single integral member, each grating consisting of a parallelogramshaped member having two adjacent sides at an acute angle to one another and having the bars 11 separating the valve ports parallel to the centre partition A-A of the meter. The gratings are arranged adjacent to and on opposite sides of the partition. The slide valves 6 are operated by a common crank 8.
