Abstract

One molecular proportion of a monoalkyldihalogen - 1 , 3 , 5-triazine or a monaralkyldihalogen - 1 , 3 , 5-triazine or a dihalogen - 1 , 3 , 5-triazine, further substituted by a hydroaromatic residue is reacted at an elevated temperature with two molecular proportions of an aminoanthraquinone or a nuclear substitution product thereof. A suitable organic solvent (other than an aromatic hydroxy body) and an acid-fixing agent may be p present. The products dye in greenish and fast yellow shades which are clearer, lighter and more greenish than those of the parent Specification and of Specification 205,525, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.]. In examples, 2-aminoanthraquinone (2 mols.) is condensed with (1) 2-methyl , 4 , 6 - dichloro-1 , 3 , 5 - triazine (1 mol.) (dyes greenish-yellow), (2) ethyldichloro-1 , 3 , 5-triazine (dyes greenish-yellow), (3) cyclohexyldichloro-1 : 3 : 5-triazine (dyes yellow); 1 - amino - 4 - benzoylaminoanthra quinone (2 mols.) is condensed with N-butyldichloro-1 , 3 , 5-triazine (1 mol.) (dyes blueish-red); 1 - amino - 4 - methoxyanthraquinone (2 mols.) is condensed with benzyldichloro-1 , 3 , 5-triazine (1 mol.) (dyes orange); 1-amino-5-benzoylaminoanthraquinone (2 mols.) is condensed with ethyldichlortriazine (1 mol.). Specification 307,947, [Class 2 (iii), Dyes &c.], also is referred to. Monaralkyl- and monohydroaryldichlortriazines are prepared by reacting upon cyanuric chloride with an aralkyl- or hydroaryl-magnesium bromide according to Grignard's reaction.
