Abstract
371,719. Electrolytic furnaces. ALUMINIUM-INDUSTRIE AKT.-GES., Neuhausen, Switzerland. July 31, 1931, No. 21937. Convention date, July 31, 1930. [Class 39 (iii).] In the production of aluminium the metal is continuously discharged by a mechanically operated device arranged in a receiver dipping into the metal. The discharging apparatus comprises a screw s driven by a compressed air motor m and arranged in a conical receiver t with an open bottom o and an outlet a. The exhaust from the motor descends and ascends the screw for cooling purposes.
