Abstract

371,262. Toothed wheels. FREY, S., 11, Am Park, Schoneberg, Berlin. Aug. 24, 1931, No. 23770. [Class 80 (i).] The teeth of a gear-wheel are cut from a bar a of high grade metal, such as Siemens Martin steel, chromium nickel steel, or bronze, the tooth structure and a dovetailed projection b being superposed. The bar is drawn so as to have a bright surface and require only a slight milling or grinding finishing treatment. The projections b are forced into corresponding gaps in the periphery of a central sheet steel disc c<2>, and similar discs c<1>, c<3> are shrunk on to the ends of the projections. The gaps between the teeth and between the discs afford access to interior screws &c.
