Abstract
369,735. Wireless receiving sets. EVANS, E. W., 10, Bodnant Avenue, Evington Parks, Leicester. March 10, 1931, No. 7373. [Class 40 (v).] Inductance coil formers of the kind comprising endcheeks provided with radial slots to receive the winding slats have the slats reversible and halved into the endcheeks, and they are provided on one edge with slots so that an air-spaced pile winding can be constructed, the opposite edge being smooth so that a single layer winding can be wound. The slats b are provided with end slots b<1> so that they may be selectively located in radial slots a<2> of the end-cheeks a. The former parts may be stamped from presspahn and dipped in shellac, a central aperture a3 being provided for machine winding. Holes a<1> may accommodate terminals or fixing screws and the end cheeks may be provided with pin connectors. A variable condenser or a switch may be mounted on the end-cheeks. Two coils wound on the formers may be variably coupled by relative displacement on a rod.
