Aug. 20, 1930, No. 24925. Convention date, Sept. 14, 1929. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 130.] Rotary projecting devices for tobacco feeding mechanism consist of pocketed drums with means for reducing air pressure variations within the pockets. Radial vanes 23 of perforated or reticulated material may be secured by semisegmental sections 27 and screws 28. The periphery may be ratchet-wheel shaped and perforated, a radial surface being followed by one of " stream-lined " formation. The perforations may have air drawn or blown through by striking up portions of the end-discs to form fan blades. Imperforate surfaces may also be used with radial vanes of rubber &c. The radial surfaces 30 may be concave or convex to a varying degree in the direction of their length.
