Abstract

366,164. Cleaning and greasing baking tins. EVANS, W. M., Hygienic Bakery, Tywyn, Deganwy, Carnarvonshire. Aug. 11, 1931, No. 33885/30. [Class 28 (i).] In apparatus for cleaning and greasing baking tins, a motor 7 is enclosed within a housing 2 through which the shaft extends horizontally, and the brushes, which are interchangeable, are secured to the end of the motor shaft by a bayonet-joint 15 comprising, as shown in Fig. 4, a sleeve which is slotted to engage a pin on the end of the motor shaft. The sleeve when being pressed on the motor shaft forces back a sliding collar 12 against the pressure of a coiled spring 11. The motor is mounted on a pedestal 5, 6 and is controlled by a switch 25 projecting to the exterior of the casing 2. The casing 2 is closed at the top by a member 20 which is itself surmounted by a plate 21 having a projecting and downturned flange 23. The plate 21 is provided with peripheral apertures 24 in which the various brushes may be placed when not in use.
