Toasting-apparatus.-An electrically heated toaster is provided with a movable bread cradle having means for engaging supports on the heater, so arranged that the cradle may be removed from the heater, reversed and replaced. Fig. 5 shows the cradle or bread holder, the openwork members d<1>, d<2> being hinged at f and pressed together by a spring. The member d<1> has a cranked extension k ending in a spherical knob which rests in a socket member revolubly mounted on the heater and constituting a hinge about which the holder may be swung. Eyes l, m at the other end of the cradle are engageable with hooks on the heater.
