Abstract
365,819. Purifying water. ANDERSEN, S., c/o A. J. Fiskeforretning, Vippetangen, Oslo, Norway. Feb. 5, 1931, No. 3741. Convention date, Feb. 11, 1930. [Class 46.] The water of tanks for transporting fish &c. is circulated for regeneration outside the tank by a pump which mixes oxygen with the water. The water overflows from the tank, through a pipe 3, passes through a strainer 4, filters 5 and a pipe 7 to the pump 8. Oxygen is supplied to the pipe 7 from the tank 9. The water is returned to the tank 1 through a pipe 11, in which a tank 13 may be connected. An automatically regulated heating or cooling device 12 may be included in the system. The pump used is preferably of the vane wheel type having suction cells arranged in pairs with apices connected by channels.
