[Class 98 (i).] Portable apparatus for carrying a plate or film for X-ray exposure comprises in combination (1) a casette or container 8 for the plate or film ; (2) a supporting column 2 therefor constituted by two or more parts 3, 4, 5, which are extensible or otherwise relatively adjustable ; and (3) a pedestal 1 for the column constructed as a storage magazine for the parts of the column. The column may be secured by a socket at 1a and the pedestal adapted for the patient to stand on. The casette 8 may form the closure for the pedestal magazine 1, or the latter may be complete for carrying the casette within it.
