[Class 57.] In a telegraph exchange system, a return signalling apparatus is brought into operation, when the motor of the receiving apparatus attains its normal working speed, by a governor comprising weights al, b<1>, frictionally mounted in a drum f<1> keyed to the shaft d, and normally drawn together by springs (not shown). The weights are attached by pivoted links d<1>, d<2> to a groove collar el which is arranged to actuate a lever engaging the groove..f when the collar is moved along the shaft during the outward movement of the weights.
