[Class 28 (i).] Apparatus for spraying baking-tins or freshly baked loaves comprises a conveyer which conveys the tins through a casing 1 having openings above the conveyer to permit the passage of the tins, the openings being closed by movable doors 6, 7. The conveyer is driven by a motor through reduction gearing and comprises parallel chains trained over sprockets and connected by transverse channel members 26 which support the tins. The tins are fed down over a shoot 31 covered with a. removable gathered fabric 32 which cleans the bottoms and are then received on the conveyer. Pushers 27 move them in batches beneath a shoe member 43 pivoted to a bar 45 telescopically adjustable in a member 47 pivoted at 50. The member 47 carries an adjustable cam 58 bearing on a cam-ended lever 55 pivoted at 56 and engaging a bell crank 60 which actuates an air-blast valve. The grease is supplied from a tank 37 through a valve 39 and pipe 38. When the shoe is not engaged by a tin, the rods 45, 47 hang vertically, Fig. 5, the stop 54 positioning the shoe. The movement of the tins moves the shoe and associated levers into the position shown in Fig. 1, in which position the air valve is open, thus spraying the pans. The casing 1 has an exhaust stack 2. Surplus grease is condensed by baffles 30, gravitates over the incline 8 and through the filter 3 into the tank 9, which has a draw-off tap 10.
