[Class 30.] In scissors for cutting cloth, leather, paper, metal sheet, &c., wherein the cuting blades a<1> are formed with curved teeth or ribs, the parts a<2> of the blades on the grip-side of the pivot are also formed with' curved teeth which act as guides. The parts a<2> may be wider than the parts a<1> so that their teeth some into mesh earlier. The pivot pin b is surrounded by a spring c and the blades are curved so that during cutting, the parts adjacent the pivot are separated against the resistance of the spring. The scissors cut in the material a toothed edge which does not fray.
