361,264. Ball and roller bearings. KRUPP GRUSONWERK AKT.-GES., F., Buckau, Magdeburg, Germany. May 11, 1931, No. 13827. Convention date, Feb. 28 [Class 12 (i).] Ball or roller bearings have means for supplying a heating fluid thereto to facilitate withdrawal of the bearing from its spindle. As shown the invention is applied to the bearings of the roller 2 of a rolling mill. The roller pin 1 has roller bearings 3, 4, and a labyrinth packing 5, 6. The packing ring 5 has a steam inlet 7 and an annular chamber 8 communicating with the passages between the bearing race rings. Embedded in grooves in the roller pin 1 are three keys 9 having a projection 12 engaging the inner end of the bearing 4 and a projection 14 which may be engaged by a projection 15 on a sleeve 17. The latter is supported on an extension 16 of the roller pin 1 and has a screwed bolt which is screwed up to bear against the extension 16 to draw the bearings off the roller pin 1.
