361,123. Sockets for posts. ROSS & CO., Ltd., R. L., Premier Works, Stockport, and HARGREAVES, W., Glendaruel, Thorley Lane, Timperley, both in Cheshire. Nov. 27, 1930, No. 35674. [Class 20 (i).] A socket for use with tennis posts is provided with a thrust plate A<1> which carries a stiffening angle A<3> at its lower end and the socket portion is provided with a detachable plate or angle B<x> on the side opposite to the thrust plate. The socket may be an apertured casting or of hollow box form.
