Abstract

As a vulcanization accelerator for rubber &c. is used the reaction product of an N-disubstituted dithiocarbamic acid or salt thereof with asdichloracetone. Examples are reaction products of as-dichloracetone with the sodium salt of (1) dimethyldithiocarbamic acid; (2) cyclopentamethylenedithiocarbamic acid; and (3) dicyclohexyldithiocarbamic acid.ALSO:The vulcanization of rubber and the like is accelerated by addition to the mix of the reaction product of an N-disubstituted dithiocarbamic acid or salt thereof with as-dichloracetone. Examples are reaction products of as-dichloracetone with the sodium salt of (1) dimethydithiocarbamic acid; (2) cyclopentamethylenedithiocarbamic acid and (3) dicyclohexyldithiocarbamic acid.
